• Mandi Wrote... Patti was an incredible host. Started with the allowance of an early check in after a long 16.5 hour drive. We made it to the house and had previous knowledge of the route to entry into the home. Walked in, and the house was better than expected. Everything in the listing was accurate. The amount of time Patti put into this home is immeasurable. From the games, to corn hole boards, kayak, bikes etc…you couldn’t be bored if you tried. We enjoyed the pool most days. Very nice having our own backyard oasis. We will most certainly book another vacation here again!

• Jay Wrote... Our group of 10 had an amazing time at Congo Breeze! The house is amazing! We took full advantage of the pool and hot tub during our stay. We also opened up the sliding doors all the way in the mornings, which is such a cool, unique feature of this awesome place! They provide a bunch of fishing poles to use, and we caught a couple catfish from the dock behind the house! The beds are comfortable, plenty of space for everyone, loved the pool table in the living room, and they have everything you need to cook anything! Patti is a wonderful host, great communication, and went above and beyond for us! We would definitely stay at Congo Breeze again!

Wonderful pool area that the kids all enjoyed, incredibly comfortable beds, and plenty of space in the house to where we didn’t all feel like we were on top of one another. Its very spacious and luxurious and exceptionally well equipped with everything you might need. We made good use of the beautiful pool and spa, and enjoyed the area close to all that Cape Coral has to offer. The owners were very helpful, and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. • John Wrote... Congo Breeze has been one of our favorite Airbnb’s we’ve had the opportunity to stay in! We had a large group of 13 people, with toddlers to grandparents. Everyone was extremely satisfied with our stay. We had our own private areas as well as large lounging areas together in the living space and outdoor lanai space. My family spent so much time in the pool! Patti has literally thought of everything. It was well-stocked and we were never bored. The beds were comfortable and very clean and it was very convenient that there were two washer and dryers. We were lucky to observe some owls in the lot next door, some iguanas, crabs, and frogs. It was truly a wonderful time!

The safety gate for the pool was an added bonus with our 18 month old granddaughter and provided us a great peace of mind. • Debra Wrote... It’s not often that you walk into a rental home and find it exceeds what is shown online. Congo Breeze has done a wonderful job of depicting what they have to offer but there is simply no way to show all of the extras. We were a group of 9 with 4 adults and 5 kids ages 10-16. Not only did we have plenty of space for all of us but there was no shortage of activities to enjoy. From the wonderfully spacious lanai with a heated pool and hot tub to ping pong, corn hole, ring toss or sitting on the dock casting a line and enjoying the beautiful view, this place truly has it all. We quickly realized we overpacked as there isn’t a thing that you’d need that this home doesn’t have. We enjoyed daily walks along neighboring streets, rode the bikes provided to the beach to watch the sunset and enjoyed seeing various wildlife including burrowing owls and a special treat of watching a couple of dolphins swim right past us in the canal. The hosts, Mike and Patti, were super friendly and responsive from the very beginning of the booking process until checkout. They even proactively sent tips on things their house has to offer in case you hadn’t found them yet (hello outdoor speakers!). This is a place you’d like to keep a secret but it wouldn’t be fair to the owners who have obviously poured their heart and soul into this place for others to enjoy. Don’t think twice about booking this home, just pack your suit and go!

• Melissa Wrote... We loved our stay here this past week. Our kids are 7,5,4 and 3 years old and they loved all the games provided and the space to run around. The amount of beach chairs, umbrellas and toys was perfect for the 8 of us to enjoy Fort Meyers Beach. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and dishes. It was great! I also loved having access to various streaming services for the kids in the morning. Having a tv out by the pool was perfect for watching basketball. We did run into a few hiccups during the week but the owner was very quick with communication and always getting someone out to help immediately. I was very impressed. We are already planning our next trip there in 2026!

• Tarah Wrote... My family just got home from 2 wonderful weeks at Congo Breeze! The house was very spacious which made traveling with 3 young children and grandparents happy, we had plenty of room to spread out. The location is the best we have ever stayed in Cape Coral, so close to restaurants downtown, tarpon point, the only beach on cape coral, parks, and easy access to the bridge. Mike and Patti were excellent hosts and very responsive, they kept the pool at the perfect temperature that even when temperatures dropped into the 50's my kids were still swimming! We hope to be back soon and even just recommended Congo Breeze to a family friend for next winter who saw all of our pictures! Thanks Mike and Patti!

• Randy Wrote... We just returned from staying at Congo Breeze with another family for 7 days. It was AWESOME! There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. The home was exceptional. When they tell you everything is included, it is. You don’t need towels, soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent…Anything. You can certainly pack light, as there are 2 washers and 2 dryers. The kitchen is loaded with every appliance you can imagine. There are numerous restaurants nearby and Sanibel was 20-25 minute car ride. This is a great spot to be. Michael kept asking me what he could do to make it even better? I recommended replacing the master suite mattress and within hours he had done so. It was delivered the day we left, so if you are headed there, you are in for a treat! I really can’t say enough great things about the house and the ability to speak directly with the owners and not a management company. Michael and Patti are truly a step above all other vacation homes. Thank you again for the wonderful vacation!

• Jason Wrote... Great time again! The house was fantastic, hosts were uber responsive and reliable. Check-in and check-out were smooth and coordination went well. Amenities are amazing, hot tub and pool were always comfortable, and charging station in the garage was an added plus. We spent three weeks here and our only complaint was not enough steak knives (which the host ordered and had delivered within a reasonable amount of time). That's a long time for something to not be okay and yet, nothing did! Will definitely be back!

• Erin Wrote... I recently had the pleasure of staying at Congo Breeze for a girls’ vacation getaway. The home is in pristine condition and was equipped with all of the modern amenities we could ask for. The spacious layout easily accommodated our group, and we especially loved the open concept living area which flowed seamlessly into a fully stocked kitchen. We love to cook and it was ideal for making and enjoying meals together. The outdoor area was a highlight, with the pool providing hours of relaxation and fun as we soaked up the sunshine. The location was great as we were minutes away from restaurants, shops, and stunning beaches. Yet the neighborhood remained peaceful and quiet, giving us a sense of privacy that made it feel like our own little paradise.We had the best time and I can’t recommend this property highly enough!

• Nicole Wrote... I recently stayed at Congo Breeze for a girls vacation getaway. The vacation home was absolutely amazing! It was very large and spacious with plenty of room to move around. The large kitchen with huge island was perfect for gathering around the kitchen and making meals. The kitchen was equipped with every imaginable gadget you can think of. It made cooking and baking effortlessly while we were there. An extra luxury was the espresso coffee maker, l enjoyed each morning. I also really loved the large pool and hot tub provided with lots of floaties to relax in while in the pool. A special treat was the ability to play card games right in the pool with the built-in table and seating area. There was never a lack of things to do at this vacation home which included bikes and a two seater kayak that made for fun activities! I would definitely stay here again!

• Evan Wrote... Checking out of Congo Breeze today and have to say this is the nicest Florida VRBO we have stayed in. The place was clean, in great condition and well stocked with everything you will need to have a great experience. If you are looking for a nice house to hang with family around the pool, barbecue, play pool, ping pong, cornhole, Kan Jam and Spike Ball then this is the place for you. The hosts were incredibly easy to communicate with and checked in multiple times to see how our stay was going and if we needed anything. They also asked if anything could be provided to make the place better. The place and hosts really are top notch! When our flight got delayed they even tried to help find an additional property for us to stay in. Overall, 5 out of 5 and would highly recommend.

• Laurie Wrote... Our stay at Congo Breeze was so relaxing and enjoyable. The owners go above and beyond to make the stay a true vacation. From comfortable beds, two washers and dryers to do laundry, pool chairs/toys, a cooler, bikes, ping pong table, pool table, spike ball, many other games, pool towels… so many amenities at Congo Breeze. They provide everything from paper towel, shampoo, a first aid kit, a variety of pillow options, and an espresso machine. In the spacious kitchen, you will find it well stocked with everything you would need. The owners overflow with hospitality and truly desire for your trip at their home to be the best! This home is in an ideal location, right on the canal, which makes boating to many restaurants a fun part of the vacation if you decide to rent or bring a boat. Fishing off the dock was great after a trip to the bait shop just a couple of minutes away for shrimp. We enjoyed eating outside and on the water at the many restaurant options nearby. The neighborhood is peaceful and a perfect place to walk or bike. We loved playing cards (waterproof cards provided) at the table in the heated pool, and relaxing in the lanai (tv outside as well). You can’t beat the accommodations at this beautifully decorated home. Our family looks forward to returning and making more memories at Congo Breeze!

The pool and lanai area are perfect and the lighted dock at night provides a great ambience. The owners were superb at communicating and were very helpful/friendly. Location is an additional plus - close to shopping, restaurants, and not too far from Fort Myers. We will definitely be back! If you are going to Cape Coral, Congo Breeze is the place to stay!

• Sarah Wrote... Our family (ages 6 to 75) stayed at Congo Breeze for 10 days in May. We came to town to celebrate my oldest son's college graduation and wedding! This is by far the best rental property that we have encountered! The house has such a spacious, open layout that we never felt crowded. There was so much fun to be had at this house with the pool and ping-pong tables, corn hole, pool toys, hot tub, bikes, fishing off the dock, etc! (We actually caught quite a few unique salt-water creatures off the dock using shrimp bait!) The house is generously stocked with all necessities (toilet paper, paper towel, coffee, spices, garbage bags, etc). It also had so many extras (batteries, toothbrushes, espresso, games, wine...literally everything we could have wanted!) The kayak was super fun, and the trip to open water was very quick. There is ample parking, pool towels, and we were surprised by the extra fridge near the pool area! Perfect for all the drinks!! Patti was so helpful during our stay whenever we had a question. I have never had a host so responsive! The location of the house is a super easy commute to groceries, Ft. Myers, etc. The road is very quiet. Beds were very comfortable- even the bunk beds- and there were several pillow options! They truly thought of everything! We could not have asked for anything more from a rental, and if we come to the area again, I would love to stay at Congo Breeze!! Thank you for sharing your home!!

• David Wrote... The owner of this beautiful home was very responsive to communicate with booking the rental and answering questions during our stay January 2024. We contacted him to adjust the hot spa temperature a couple degrees cooler which he did quickly. We enjoyed the billiards table and cooking in the well stocked kitchen with plenty of spices, S & P, oils, dishes, cups, glassware, small appliances toaster, coffee maker, etc., everything needed. There were plenty of coffee and tea selections. The beds were super comfy and bathrooms had all the supplies needed: towels, shampoo, conditioners, body wash, hair dryer, and lighted make up mirror. The neighbor hood was quiet and a quick drive to the yacht club beach to catch the beautiful sunsets. This home would be a great for a large family vacation. We really enjoyed a relaxing get away.

They are extremely thorough with details, lightning fast to respond to inquiries before and during the stay, and cared about every detail being perfect for us during our vacation in their beautiful home. The home itself is beautiful and has every amenity you could possibly need on vacation. I highly recommend renting a boat and using the awesome dock in front of the home to cruise the canal system and venture out into the Gulf. Quiet neighborhood, close to 47th terrace with all of the fun restaurants and bars. • Kevin Wrote... Due to cooler and cloudier weather than we would have liked, the hot tub was a favorite amongst us all. We had an issue with the hot tub the first night we were there. We called Mike Bartels (the owner) and he called us back within 10 minutes. While on the phone, he asked my husband to look for different things that may be causing the issue, and together they figured out the problem. Mike and his wife were also kind enough (after I reached out to them) to give us some alternate places for a wedding proposal that our son was planning. With the original proposal plan on the beach and the forecast for intended day and time was rain and 30-40 mile per hour wind, the beach was obviously not going to be the best place with 2000 rose pedals included in the proposal master plan!! Their kindness went over and above our rental agreement!

The pool and hot tub were perfect and they even included adult floaties! I was pleasantly surprised by the extra touches like an top notch blender for smoothies, an espresso machine, shampoo and conditioner. Other rentals I have stayed at, did not offer all the extra touches. The home was absolutely beautiful. And we enjoyed renting the boat and captain for the day and being picked up right off the back dock.

• Donna Wrote... Congo Breeze is Amazing!! Perfect location, beautifully decorated, totally equipped for your perfect get-a-way! Patti and Mike are AWESOME host that make you feel like part of their family. They even ordered new floats for the pool during our stay:). Our family of 10 (8 adults and 2 children) had the best time relaxing by the pool and just hanging out together playing pool, ping pong and watching movies. The home is equipped with all the extras for a true vacation down to the expresso machine for those expresso martinis for dessert:). We rented the boat for the week which allowed us to explore the area and visit different restaurants and beaches. Truly an amazing trip that we will forever remember!! Once we got settled and realized everything that the house had to offer we felt right at home! You literally have the best of everything! We relaxed and played games it the pool, had a corn hole tournament every day,enjoyed the dock and rented a boat for 4 days and just overall had the best vacation. The owners provided everything you can think of from plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, bath and beach towels. It was SO nice to not have to run to the store for those types of basics! I hope my family and I are lucky enough to visit this home again!

Patti recommended a boat rental: Captian Manni’s Executive Boats LLC. (Great Experience)- they can pick up your boat from Patti’s boat dock if you choose to spend an extra $100. Well worth it. One of our favorite things we did each night besides night fishing- was play pool. So nice to have a pool table indoors to keep you cool. This was our 8th family vacation, 9 total- everyone voted BEST PLACE so far… we will be back. Highly recommend. Owners are absolutely lovely and very kind.

We biked, kayaked, swam, played pool, ping pong, corn hole, cards, fished, and more. This was the first time that we went on vacation and didn't have to pack much besides clothes. Our daughter has Type 1 Diabetes and Eosinophilic Esophagitis and when we reached out to Mike and Patti, they had a food scale, blowdryers, beach towels, and more. We did have a couple of questions while we were there and a text to the Bartels was returned by a very quick text reply and answer. For anyone who is thinking of finding a place to stay for their family or multiple families, we highly recommend Congo Breeze!

We have stayed at 5 or 6 other vacation rentals in this area and this one has exceeded them all. The home is absolutely perfect-the location perfect and the amenities were above all others. We had all ages from adults to teens to an infant and they really have made this home accommodating for everyone. Plenty to do at the home and plenty to do in the area. Short drive to Fort Myers Beach and Cape Harbour. House was extremely clean and just really absolutely perfect! We used the pool, hot tub, ping pong table, kayak, baggo boards, TV, speakers and everything was in perfect condition. It was hard to leave...Thank you to the Bartels for sharing their beautiful place with us! We will definitely book this again. We loved it all!

We had a group of 11 people from our church who came to Ft Myers with 8 Days of Hope as part of a mission trip to rebuild in the Harlem Heights area. We rented a boat for the week and jet skis which we were able to dock right at the house. I am so amazed at how well stocked the home was!!! That truly made this home stand out! • Tim Wrote... This property was amazing and was exactly as posted in the listing. Everything from the check-in to the check-out was smooth. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and outdoor area was cleaning, supplied with a lot of amenities, and included even more than we expected. The host was very responsive, easy to communicate with, and very reasonable/understanding. They made our family feel welcome and checked in several times to make sure we didn't need anything else. Would definitely recommend this property!

• Jenna Wrote... My family had the best week staying at Congo Breeze! The house is equipped with everything you might possibly need during your vacation, from kitchen tools to pool toys! The house was big enough for our crew to sleep comfortably (9 adults, 2 kids, 2 toddlers). The pool and lanai are even better than the great pictures, and we had so much fun enjoying them and the Florida sunshine! We also used the bikes, they were in great condition. Mike and Patti were very available and quick to respond to questions. Would highly recommend staying at this property, we'd all love to go back!

• Mary Wrote... We are a group of 65+ year old gals that went to high school together. For the last several years we have rented houses in SWF for a gathering of fun and catching up. Congo Breeze has set the bar. The amenities are A+. All we needed to bring was food and refreshments. In the past we would head out to dinner, shopping, a little sight seeing. At Congo Breeze, we didn’t leave the property as it has so much to offer. (With the exception of a beer run). Pictures on line do not do the property justice. There is not one negative I could say about the property - it is truly Paradise!

• Christopher Wrote... I am pleased to rate our 2 week stay at "Congo Breeze" with 5 stars. The house is immaculate and was completely stocked with all the essentials for every day living. We had a total of 6 people (3 adult couples), who have several VRBO stays under our belts and this one is the best. Communication with the owner was exceptional. All our questions were answered immediately. The location was close to many restaurants and shopping which gave us more time to just enjoy the house and the fabulous heated pool. We enjoyed our meals on the patio, especially dinner one evening using the gas grill which had a full propane tank ready for us. To top it off, the weather was perfect, which made for a most enjoyable and relaxing 2 week vacation.

• Emily Wrote... We had such a great time at Congo Breeze! With 5 adults & 4 kids under 4 everyone had room to play and rest. Loved the fact that the home felt like it had 3 “wings”, so everyone had nice privacy. The pool and lanai with TV was a great time, the open concept was wonderful for hanging out and cooking. Patti and her husband were SO quick to respond with everything we had questions on. We would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family.

• Alec Wrote... From the minute we booked Patti’s home we knew we had made a great decision. We have four kids and we were bringing the grandparents as well. Patti was immediately welcoming and continued to be throughout our visit. She was responsive to all of our questions and even made sure to send a couple of messages welcoming us and sending us tips about the home. We felt right at home from the time we walked in the door until the last day when we left. The house was gorgeous and had plenty of room for all of us. We can’t thank Patti and her staff enough for their hospitality.

• Corwin Wrote... We are currently living in Cape Coral. My family and I usually rent 2 to 3 homes a yr. This home is by far the BEST home we have rented. Everything went so smoothly from the beginning to the end. Patti was always available at any time of any day. Home was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. Super easy gulf access for us boat lovers. Large spacious rooms surround sound throughout the home even outside by the pool. Pool was awesome and hot tub. The open layout and one level floor plan made it easy to keep an eye on the kids and also gave them space to run around. We took advantage of the heated pool (and hot tub) every day and even enjoyed the kayak. Patti is an amazing host and even though she was remote, made us feel right at home. We will be staying here the next time we visit Cape Coral."
